What people ask before their first session
Do I need a prescription?
No. Our mild hyperbaric wellness sessions do not require a physician's prescription. This is different from medical-grade hyperbaric oxygen therapy delivered at hospitals and wound care centers, which does require a prescription and is used to treat specific FDA-approved conditions. Our sessions are a wellness service, not a medical treatment.
Does insurance cover this?
No. Wellness-tier hyperbaric sessions are not covered by insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid under any circumstance — this applies industry-wide, not just at our facility. All sessions are self-pay. We do not file insurance claims or accept insurance billing for this service.
Is this the same as medical HBOT used to treat wounds or other conditions?
No. Medical-grade hyperbaric oxygen therapy is delivered in hard-shell chambers at higher pressure with 100% medical oxygen, requires a physician's prescription, and is used under clinical supervision to treat specific FDA-approved conditions. Our wellness sessions operate at a lower pressure for general wellness purposes and are not a substitute for medical care. If you have a medical condition, please talk to your doctor about whether medical HBOT is appropriate for you.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. All sessions are by appointment only — we do not accept walk-ins. Use the form below to request an appointment time once we open, or to be added to our early access list.
Who shouldn't use a mild hyperbaric wellness chamber?
Pregnant individuals, anyone with an active upper respiratory or sinus infection, untreated pneumothorax, or certain other conditions should not use a hyperbaric chamber without first speaking to a physician. We'll review a short health questionnaire with you before your first session.
